HOW TO BECOME INTERIOR DESIGNER

This exciting profession continuously introduces new design experiences. Interior Designers finds solutions to the needs of people and society through projects that involve architectural spaces. Such projects evoke creative and innovative visions to go beyond the challenge of environmental sustainability.

The Interior Designer is not limited to a functional need-only response. A project, as addressed by the designer, requires space where his/her work responds to a complex research that stems from a performative program. This becomes articulated through the construction of form, expressive language, and choice of materials. The course’s main objective is to learn how to achieve the coherent and organic development of an architectural idea while addressing spatial, aesthetic, functional, and constructive elements. Students will obtain skills for working as a freelancer or within a design studio team.
