“Rome. A vision”. Exploratory photography.

The Summer course is focused on learning about the most important and exciting places in Rome through photography and storytelling. It has been designed to be an exciting, explorative, and formative experience on two levels. One is purely educational and allows even non-professionals or photography amateurs to take good-quality photos under the supervision of a teacher; the other is deeply experiential, discovering the places considered most significant for appreciating Rome’s artistic, historical, and cultural heritage. The assistance of a photographer teacher, who is also an art historian, will enable these two levels of learning to take place in parallel and will help each participant to achieve technical skills, but at the same time, have an unforgettable experience in exploring the unique historical and artistic context of Rome.

“The magical light of Rome”. Lighting the cultural heritage.

The professional summer course aims to provide an innovative interpretation of the interaction between light and artwork, using the extraordinary beauty of Rome and its spectacular natural light, which is unique in the world. It starts with a day of face-to-face interventions, analysing the main themes and peculiarities of the topic. This is followed by three days of itinerant lessons in the city’s heart, each conceived “ad hoc” to delve into specific design, technical and aesthetic aspects fundamental for valorising and conserving works of art directly in situ. This new way of approaching teaching is an innovative and significant factor in developing intense and long-term learning based on the emotional involvement of the participants. The last part of the course is dedicated to a follow-up for participants or an applicative workshop for those who have chosen the advanced course.
