On January 28, 2025, at 6:00 PM, as part of the Open AANT event series, the Accademia delle Arti e Nuove Tecnologie hosted Silvia Cassetta for the presentation of her book DanzaèArchitettura. Originally conceived as a thesis, the work has evolved into a manifesto for a new discipline that explores the relationship between bodily movement and architectural space.
During the event, the author guided the audience through a theoretical and practical journey intertwining history, choreography, and spatial design, emphasizing how dance can become a generative force for architecture and vice versa. The discussion highlighted the potential of movement as a creative element and the ability of space to transform into a matrix for the danced act.
At the conclusion of the event, Silvia Cassetta left the AANT students with a meaningful word: Renaissance. An invitation to rediscover movement as an artistic expression and to rethink architecture as a dynamic space, open to new forms of interaction between art and design.
