Parco Archeologico del Colosseo: Tempus Captum, analisi ed esplorazione fotografica.

This is an exhibition itinerary, a choral account of the most visited archaeological park in the world, which includes the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and the Palatine Hill, symbols of all ancient art.

Goals:
Take ownership of a place through one’s gaze, getting to know it, and returning to the observer a snapshot capable of preserving the centuries-old flow of history with a modern language.

The project:

As part of the educational collaboration with the Colosseum Archaeological Park, the students of the three-year Videomaking course created an exhibition that recounts a year of study of the site. The project was also developed under the guidance of the Park’s archaeologists and Andrea Schiappelli, head of the Education and Training Service. A wealth of images, from the classical to the contemporary age, from painting to engraving, photography to cinema. A project of observation and research in which time is the protagonist, photographic and historical time together, stopped through the camera to be declined in a contemporary key.
