On April 10, 2024, at 6:00 PM, the Accademia delle Arti e Nuove Tecnologie hosted Professor Paolo Granata for an event titled “Chronicles from the Metaverse.”
A pioneer in the use of Virtual Reality in education and a member of the Canadian Commission for UNESCO, Paolo Granata provided an in-depth overview of the latest frontiers of technological innovation, with a particular focus on immersive and interactive environments. During the event, he explored the implications of virtual reality in entertainment, education, and the workplace, emphasizing how emerging technologies are redefining communication and interaction dynamics.
The event served as an opportunity to examine how digital and virtual technologies are transforming the way people meet, work, study, and play in increasingly realistic virtual worlds.
To enhance the experience, a dedicated interactive area was set up, allowing attendees to directly experiment with state-of-the-art VR/MR headsets (Meta Quest 3) and explore the potential of this new technological frontier firsthand.
