Since 2011 she is the scientific coordinator of the DIALOGUES network, a national action research project, involving some 30 state schools in various Italian regions. She was Honorary Senior Research Associate at UCL, Institute of Education London, where she received her PhD in 2008.
The Italian representative in the OECD-INES project for ten years, she coordinated and participated in several EU-Socrates projects on educational leadership, active and global citizenship, intercultural education, multimedia education. She has published extensively in Italy and internationally

Her training, starting from a base of classical studies, is oriented towards visual communication, starting with studies in Graphic Design at the European Institute of Design (IED) in Rome and the International Institute of Communication and Image (ICEI MULTIMEDIA Olivetti group) – where for a period she was teaching assistant to Prof. Franco Zeri, coordinator of the department of Graphics and Computer Graphics -, and completed with seminars on communication for children and with master’s degrees for the in-depth study of digital technologies for television. Her professional experiences gradually specialised in book publishing and event communication. Among her professional experiences are founding partner and creative director of the publishing house I Colori del Mondo and the publishing services and events organisation Leggermente (Naples). Since 2003, these activities have been complemented by teaching activities.

Her studio mainly deals with product and exhibition design. She has won numerous awards, including ADI Design Index selections, Honorable Mentions at the Compasso D’Oro, and Design Plus and German Design Awards. In addition to her project work, she has worked as a curator of cultural events and teacher. She currently teaches at the AANT, where she coordinates the three-year course on product design. Of particular relevance is her constant commitment to institutional roles: she has been an ADI member since 1979, served as a member of the ADI National Board of Directors from 2004 to 2017, and was its Vice-President from 2014 to 2017. She oversaw the installation of the Design Collection in the Palazzo della Farnesina and the creation of the Design Room. She was also part of the first Italian Design Council.

She established Atelier Crilo in 2010, a company specialising in 3D visualisation for architecture and design. In 2015 and 2021, the studio was recognised as one of the top visual design agencies by the d2 Conference in Vienna and won the Hugh Ferriss competition. The images created by Atelier Crilo are featured on CGI-specific websites. Additionally, in 2017, CGarchitect honoured Atelier Crilo with the CGarchitect Architectural 3D Awards in the commissioned film category for their work on “Superficial.” The studio’s representation work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale 2021, including installations at Casa dell’Architettura and MACRO, as well as solo exhibitions titled ” Paesaggi ibridi” and ” Disegno Plurale”. Specialising in traditional and digital illustration, concept art, comics and screenwriting, in 2008, he finished his studies in graphic design at the AANT and began working in a graphic studio. He then attended CSF Adams in Rome, where he studied photography in the studio and outdoors. In 2013, he specialised again at the AANT as Art Director and then began collaborating with the German IT communication and development agency Catenate. He then continued his studies in Motion graphics, 3D modelling and animation. In 2017, he won first prize at the Behance Portfolio Review in Rome. Initially, he created them for his own projects, then for his colleagues, and eventually for some teachers. In 2015, he founded Lucydreams. He has worked for Natuzzi Italia, Fondazione Fendi, Arata Isozaki & Andrea Maffei Associati, Powerhouse Company, and Angelini Pharma. During the same period, he began organizing training courses in different Italian cities. Many of his students have found employment in Italian companies and abroad, while others have become successful freelancers. Since 2016, after an internship with Domitilla Dardi, a historian and curator, she has taught the History of Design and Architecture in various academies and institutes, both in the capital and abroad. She has been curating design talks and events since 2019 and is an advisor and creative consultant for designers and companies. She writes for several industry publications, including Elle Decor Italia, and since January 2023, she has been Senior Editor of the Cieloterradesign web magazine.

After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture of La Sapienza, she participated in an advanced course in General and Museum Teaching at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy of the University of Roma Tre. Since 1996, she has owned a studio specialising in light design, primarily focusing on the lighting of Cultural Heritage indoors and outdoors, while also exploring other application areas. She teaches at the AANT and the Polytechnic of Milan and collaborates with other universities and institutions. She is the author of numerous publications and collaborates with the bilingual magazine “LUZ,” of which she is a member of the Editorial Board. She is a National Councillor of AIDI – Associazione Italiana di Illuminazione and a Member of CIE Italia – Division 1, 3, and 6.

Manlio Santoro attended the European Institute of Design in Rome and the International Institute of Communication and Image, specialising in jewellery design. During his studies, he began an apprenticeship at the workshop of the silversmith Aldo Vitali and later worked for renowned brands such as Unoerre, Simonelli, Bulgari, and Diego Percossi Papi. Since 2004, he has been working as an independent designer. He specialised in 3D printing using laser and deposit technologies, employing tools such as Solidscape, 3D Systems CPX, DWS, and Formlabs. Currently, his most exciting collaborations include the goldsmith’s workshop Sezione Aurea of Glauco Cambi, the jewellers Forlenza and Pierpaolo Ardigò, the silversmith Andrea Zagarola, and the sculptor and philosopher Paolo Gabrielli of Mondogabriels.

In 2009, he moved to Rome and began studying photography, specialising in portrait photography and post-advertising production. He collaborated with the YoungBlood studio and later founded the ArchViz SVL Studio, where he works as a post-producer, photographer, and consultant. Over the years, he has worked as an advertising post-producer with clients such as Nissan, Fiorucci, Galletti, Zuegg, Former, Calzanetto, Bodema, Mulino Bianco, Divani & Divani, and Danone. Working in this environment led him to resume his studies, specialising in Hard Surface 3D modelling and eventually collaborating as a 3D Artist for the Lucydreams studio. Since 2012, he has taught Photoshop, advanced post-production, and photorealistic compositing.

He holds a PhD in Architectural and Urban Composition from the Faculty of Architecture of La Sapienza. Since 2007, he has worked in design, alongside research and teaching at the Faculty of Architecture Valle Giulia and other Italian Design Schools. In the role of chief designer, he has won several prizes in national and international architecture competitions. As an independent researcher, he is the author of essays and articles in national and international publications. In 2018, he edited and published the translation of “The Radiant Farm and the Cooperative Centre”, an unpublished text by Le Corbusier. Since 2011, he has been co-founder of the IKÒNICA design studio.

He graduated in Rome and obtained a PhD in Interior Architecture and Design. He is a researcher and lecturer in the Courses of Design, Exhibit, and Visual Communication; he teaches in the Design Laboratories in the Postgraduate, Doctorate, and Master’s courses at La Sapienza. He is a Visiting Professor at Tongji University in Shanghai, the Polytechnic of Portalegre, Lusíada University in Lisbon, and Oxford Brookes University. He exhibits at the Biennale di Venezia, Macro, Triennale di Sofia, and the OHR. He designs and creates worldwide, from product design to residential architecture, from parks and public spaces to landscape projects. He has published his work in Il Sole 24 Ore and Design della Repubblica, as well as articles and essays by publishers such as Kappa and Gangemi International.

He graduated in Industrial Design and specialised in Design with plastics from the Polytechnic of Milan. During his studies, he explored various aspects of the design discipline, collaborating with entities such as Dolcefarniente, Joe Rivetto, All Music TV, and UNESCO. He has designed exhibition projects for Mercedes, Ferrari, and Alfa Romeo. With Taloccidesign, he designs for large companies in the sector, such as Teuco, Foppapedretti, and Falper, and collaborates with Valdama in creating innovative ceramic products for bathroom furniture. His projects were exhibited at 100%Design in London in 2013 and published by Design For in 2013-2014. Today, his multisensory and design approach continues with research, attention to new clients, and teaching through the AANT.
