The special guest was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Floria_Sigismondi\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Floria Sigismondi<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an Italian-Canadian artist and one of the most influential figures in the contemporary visual landscape.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With a distinctive aesthetic language, suspended between dreamlike vision and unsettling tension, Sigismondi has developed over time a powerful and recognizable visual universe. Her practice spans photography, video art and film direction, playing a key role in shaping the iconic imagery of some of the most prominent figures in international music, including David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, Bj\u00f6rk and Rihanna.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event offered <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accademiadellearti.it\/en\/corsi\/three-year-course\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">undergraduate students<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a valuable opportunity to explore creative processes and production dynamics that define contemporary visual arts, with a particular focus on the dialogue between visual culture, music and the cultural industry. The talk was moderated by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accademiadellearti.it\/en\/facultys\/#docente-1840\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alessandro Alfieri<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, AANT faculty member, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ivan.dalberto\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ivan D\u2019Alberto<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, contemporary art theorist and historian, who guided the discussion with the artist, fostering reflections on aesthetics, languages and innovation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">About the guest: Floria Sigismondi was born in Pescara and raised in Canada. Her career spans photography, video art and directing, fields in which she stands out for a strongly authorial and recognizable visual style. She has directed music videos for some of the most important international artists, contributing to redefining the visual language of music videos from the 1990s to the present.
