Design for All: Inclusion, Senses and AI<\/strong> approaches design<\/strong> and artificial intelligence<\/strong> as cultural devices<\/strong> that shape interpretation<\/strong>, behaviour<\/strong>, and forms of relationship<\/strong> in contemporary environments, both physical and digital. The topic focuses on design responsibility<\/strong> in a context where language<\/strong>, images<\/strong>, and intelligent systems<\/strong> continuously redefine how the world is read and understood.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The focus connects language<\/strong>, gender discrimination<\/strong>, and generative technologies<\/strong>, showing how what is often perceived as “neutral<\/strong>” \u2014 a word, an interface, a colour choice \u2014 can embed value systems<\/strong> and contribute to meaning-making<\/strong>. In this scenario, AI plays an ambivalent role<\/strong>: it can be a powerful tool, while also acting as a potential amplifier of cultural bias<\/strong>, reproducing stereotypes<\/strong> and asymmetries<\/strong> present in data and reference models.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The proposed perspective highlights the designer as a conscious and accountable figure<\/strong>, responsible for defining access<\/strong>, possibilities<\/strong>, and conditions of inclusion<\/strong>. Attention to the senses<\/strong> and to perceptual experience<\/strong> becomes a structural part of the design process, together with the need to develop critical awareness<\/strong> of platforms and systems that increasingly personalise information, generating closed environments<\/strong> and echo chambers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Guest<\/strong> Alessio Gallina<\/strong> is a lecturer at AANT in Theory of Perception<\/strong> and Psychology of Form and Color<\/strong>. As a scholar of cognitive processes<\/strong> with a cognitivist background<\/strong>, his work focuses on perception<\/strong> and on the relationships between human beings and their environment<\/strong>, integrating perceptual psychology<\/strong>, images<\/strong>, and signs<\/strong> through exercises and experiential labs.<\/p>\n
