Generative Knowledge<\/strong> focuses on how artificial intelligence<\/strong>, and generative AI<\/strong> in particular, is reshaping the production<\/strong>, transmission<\/strong>, and circulation of knowledge<\/strong>. AI is addressed as a technology that intervenes in study<\/strong>, research<\/strong>, and creative practice<\/strong>, affecting how knowledge<\/strong>, skills<\/strong>, and learning processes<\/strong> are built and shared.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Developed from Paolo Granata<\/strong>‘s book Generative Knowledge<\/strong><\/em>, the topic examines the need for new paradigms<\/strong> in education<\/strong> and knowledge exchange<\/strong> at a time when generative tools automate, amplify, and reorganize activities such as synthesis<\/strong>, rewriting<\/strong>, and text production<\/strong>. The focus is placed on forms of collaboration between humans and intelligent systems<\/strong>, on criteria of quality and responsibility<\/strong>, and on the evolving relationship between creativity<\/strong> and emerging technologies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The broader framework combines perspectives from media studies<\/strong>, aesthetics<\/strong>, and the philosophy of technology<\/strong>, drawing on the tradition of media ecology<\/strong> and on the concept of connective intelligence<\/strong>, while also engaging critical approaches<\/strong> to ongoing cultural transformations.<\/p>\n

Speakers<\/strong> Paolo Granata<\/strong> is an Associate Professor of Book and Media Studies<\/strong> at the University of Toronto’s St. Michael’s College<\/strong> and a member of geniaLAB<\/strong>‘s scientific committee. His work explores the intersections of media<\/strong>, digital culture<\/strong>, and knowledge ecosystems<\/strong>, with a focus on the cognitive and perceptual transformations<\/strong> brought about by emerging technologies.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Derrick de Kerckhove<\/strong> is a sociologist<\/strong> and media theorist<\/strong>, and one of Marshall McLuhan<\/strong>‘s closest collaborators. His research has been instrumental in developing the concept of connective intelligence<\/strong> and in examining how digital networks<\/strong> affect mental and social processes.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Andrea Colamedici<\/strong> is a philosopher<\/strong> and publisher<\/strong>, co-founder of the Tlon<\/strong> project and coordinator of geniaLAB<\/strong>‘s scientific committee. His work is dedicated to the dissemination of critical thinking<\/strong> and to contemporary interpretations of cultural change.<\/p>\n
